Summer 2024 People Update

FAREWELL HELEN

On the 21st of September, exactly 25 years after she started work at Huntington, team members past & present and family came together to celebrate all things Helen and wish her and Robert all the best for their future.

25 years ago in 1999, a young Helen joined Huntington Estate. She retired last month and is already sorely missed. It was wonderful to come together and celebrate her at Our Chow Mudgee.

25 years is one hell of an innings and we are filled with gratitude that Helen chose to devote so much of her working life to Huntington.

Helen is universally loved and respected. Deservedly so.

She can always be relied on to do the right thing. She is hard working, diligent and loyal. Her attention to detail is second to none.

She is also warm, kind, funny and open hearted. She has immense charm and builds meaningful relationships across the divides of age, gender and life experience.

But she is no push-over. Helen is courageous and strong, she speaks up, she stands up, and has overcome the challenges in her life with grace, dignity and determination.

Her resilience and adapatability is to be celebrated.

Helen, we wish you and Bob all the good things for this next chapter of your lives.

We know it’s scary, but you are ready, and you are able. Smell the roses. Embrace the possibilities of your new life. And Never wear black again!

You are a strong, capable and courageous woman. Seize the day.
