From a wet-cool growing season, this white sits somewhere between the lean Hunter Valley and the herbaceous Margaret River styles. For Hunting Estate loyalists, this is not dissimilar to the 2000 in that it was picked slightly greener than usual and shows crisp, grassy and passionfruit characters with a thumping acid backbone. It is destined to become a classic in 10-20 years and is in very limited supply.

The 2007 Four Seasons Dry White consists of 70%Chardonnay and 30% Semillon. The Chardonnay component was quite ripe, giving the wine a suductive lusciousness, while the Semillon part gives wine fresh freshness-a perfect combination. It is an ideal apertif wine and should be enjoyed well chilled.

Guided by the esteemed palate of Wendy Roberts, this is made to a particular style: dry, fresh and crisp with enticing strawberry and cherry fruit and a bright finish. Enjoy over a long lunch and raise a glass to Wendy!

I love this unwooded white … and so do all my friends who know that I always have a few bottles sitting in the fridge ready to go. The palate has a friendly grip and nice length with tropical pawpaw, rockmelon and mango characters.
A soft and lightly sweet style of Rose' with a fairy floss finish on the palate proves very popular at the cellar door where you can try this wine.

Bob Roberts planted 3 rows of Grenache in 2002 in order to make a lighter ‘Southern France’ style of red wine that could be drunk early. This is the first vintage from those vines. It is possibly more extracted and fuller bodied that Bob expected (the shiraz component actually pulls the wine back into this style a bit) however its is still a really soft wine. It is a real pasta wine with firmness, good acid, soft fruit and a friendly finish. It is very limited in quantity, as will be the 2007 due to the drought

The last time a Port was made at Huntington Estate was 1993, by Bob’s daughter Susie as part of her university studies – and it’s still drinking beautifully today. Put this luscious 2006 away for a noteworthy distant anniversary or birthday.

Cabernet Sauvignon ShirazThe 2005 vintage was an excellent red vintage for Mudgee with even rainfall during the growing season and then a dry cool autumn. This wine is made from almost two-thirds cabernet sauvignon grapes, the remainder shiraz. The yields were very low meaning excellent tannins and fruit structures. It is extraordinary that we can offer such a wine for the price and I can highly recommend it

Very much in the famed Huntington Estate style – medium-full bodied with slightly broad tropical and buttery flavours, soft acid and nice length. A quarter of the wine saw new oak (half French, half American), the rest old barriques. Bottle age has filled the palate nicely and it’s drinking beautifully right now.

Reds are our specialty here at Huntington Estate and Cabernet is our flagship variety. This 2004 release, from avery good vintage is particularly interesting. It's made in the traditional Mudgee style with sprinkling of leafiness, solid red fruits and super-fine tannins. It's medium-bodied with fantastic varietal fruit expression and thankfully not all 'jammy' or overripe like too many Aussie Cabernets. This wine has an aging ability of a further decade or more.

This wine is made from Semillon and Chardonnay, and a bit of Gordo gives it that slight Muscat character reminiscent of the Beaume de Venise but with less alcohol. It's luscious and light with a clean, full, fruity finish without displaying any cloying characteristics.
The typical Huntington Estate Cabernet varietal characteristics are tempered somewhat here due to the nature of the vintage. However, the same fine tannins that make the wine age-worthy are still apparent. Beginning to soften and shed some of its austerity with age. Drink 2012.
Opens with burnt chocolate and dusty lavender soap aromas. The palate shows dried herb flavours with mint tea and dried biscuit notes. Not soft nor sweet, just plain and savoury…and there’s nothing wrong with that! Very age worthy.

A small miracle from one of our toughest years (late frost, hail and drought). Quite dry in character but still with fine tannins and good mid-palate weight. Savoury ribena and chocolate smells, and a savoury, long palate. A nice Shiraz indeed.
This is an excellent representation of the long-term aging Mudgee Shiraz style, unlike any other Shiraz in the world. With good layers of excellent chocolate and red berry characters with wonderful tannins, this is a collectable Shiraz that deserves a place in any serious wine cellar. This wine is similar to the 2001 vintage and thoroughly deserves its 'Special Reserve' tag.
